Tweets from Aug 15th to Dec 20th 2012

I have come to do most of my "blogging" over at Twitter because usually I am just wanting to alert people to a quote or article or to make a brief comment. I am doing more of my extensive analysis in my academic writing (dissertation and articles) so Twitter fits where I am at right now. Below I have pasted my tweets from the last few months. I would like to think there is a treasure trove of good resources here. Greetings to all, Andy

@AndyRowell but there is overall national growth in master degrees in religion. According to IPEDS data.

Seminary (ATS) enrollment peaked in 2006. Surely the availability of theological resources (audio, blogs) on the internet is a key factor.

"Are the predicates of Mary–Advocate, Auxiliatrix, Adjutrix, Mediatrix–to be understood only as pious invocation (Ratzinger)?"–Barth p23.

@bpetroelje Barth addresses Lumen Gentium on pp. 23-24 of Ad limina apostolorum; also suggests it does not cohere with Ad gentes pp. 33-34.

In Sept 1966 in Rome, Barth talked with Karl Rahner and Joseph Ratzinger (now Pope Benedict XVI) about Mariology. Ad limina apostolorum, 14.

Barth is polite but scathing on Vatican II documents in Ad limina apostolorum, but he sympathetically notes they were done by committee.
